The Hotel Avenida Palace is a classic in Barcelona and takes advantage of its magnificent location in the city centre. The hotel, which has been recently renovated offers classical Catalonian hospitality in a privately managed hotel.151 comfortable rooms which have recently been refurbished but maintains its classical art deco from the old days, all rooms feature: Private bath, IDD Telephone, RDSI digital phone line with modem connection for PC, work desk, minibar, radio, colour TV satellite, adjustable air conditioning and heating, safe deposit box, hairdryer, infra X ray and music in bathroom, soundproof windows and 220 volts electricity. Restaurant "Insolit Barcelona", open daily. Room service. 7 Meeting rooms up to 300 persons. All rooms equiped with one analogue telephone line for PC connections and audio visuals equipment are available.
The hotel was fantastic - the room was very large, great bathroom and aterrace overlooking the city.
One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in and I travel all over the world regularly!

The Avenida Palace is very well located in the centre of the city. It is a lovely stroll to La Rambla and the Gothic part of the town. It is well connected by being right next to Placa Catalunya and therefore easy to get to from any airport or catch metro, buses, Turist tour buses etc. However, the room was dated and we were disappointed with the standard and would give it a 3 star rating instead of a 4 star that it holds.

A good central location with ease of access to Los Ramblas. Clean and tidy rooms albeit a little small. Good choice at breakfast from the buffet. Front of house staff rather off hand on arrival. A good central base for a short break in Barcelona.

We really enjoyed the hotel and the staff. The room was great for three people. The staff was very helpful - we unfortunately had a passport stolen - due to a pick pocket and they know exactly what to do as well as provide directions and dinner choices.
