The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment and as a consequence there is some appearence of it being a bit of a building site, however our room was larger than a standard hotel room and the quality of the room was better than some of the better known brands. A good breakfast was provided and overall a good quality, good value stay..

We would most definately recommend this hotel. Was exactly what it advertised. Could not believe how quiet (we opened windows during the night as it was warm) it was being so near to the motorway. Excellent value for money. Bed very comfy, bathroom roomy accessing two at one time with ease, perfect English breakfast. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Will be making a return trip!

Hotel was better than our expectations our room was far from the function room so we did not hear the tribute act. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Very good value booking saved £20.00 through skoosh

We were very pleased with our stay, staff were helpful and polite throughout, facilities were great, they gave us a free upgrade so we had more room as we had a cot, and we didn't have to pay for that either. Breakfast was very good, with ample choice and plenty of it. Only negative comment is you couldn't stay here it you were disabled there are steps up or down to rooms, none on ground floor level. Great pub just next door for great roast dinner at a great price too, seemed very popular with locals so you know it's good. An excellent stay, no problems and would certainly stay as long as the price was right. I shopped around and payed half the normal rate with Skoosh.

We have stayed at the Great Barr on numerous occasions, it is brilliant. Quick and efficient check-in. Beautiful executive rooms which have all been upgraded and this year now have big flat screen tv's. Family staff where nothing is too much trouble. Huge car park , nice bar and brilliant breakfast. We may be biased because it is good and have stayed here a lot (6 times this year) but quality is paramount and it is excellent value for money.

Delightful Hotel for the quick traveller. Tea/Coffee in room, nice tv. Nice Bed and quiet too. Bar Reasonable and breakfast good whether English or Continental. Won't recommend as I want to stay there again and couldn't bear the fact that it was full. Thank you. JG

Yes I would, because it is a friendly accessible no frills hotel. Impressed by: down to earth , friendly and approachable breakfast staff. Breakfast was good too. Disappointed by: Some of the decor especially in the bathrooms. Value for money if you book via the internet, I got a much better deal... Tried to book over the phone and it was double the price that I was quoted on the 'net. My expectations were met.

yes service and food good for England, phone expensive and poor, internet expensive yes yes, except for phone service, exceeded in breakfast quality free wireles should be an automatic these days.

Highly recommended accommodation for all, clean and spacious rooms. The bar and restaurant was a little dated and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. Very good value for money and ideally located for our visit. It was a very nice area surrounding and plenty of car parking spaces.
