Art'otel Budapest is a 4 star hotel in Budapest. The Art'otel is situated on one of the finest locations in Budapest on the River Danube facing the Parliament buildings and the famous chain bridge. It is comprised of four 18th century baroque town houses that have been restored and combined with a modern wing, creating a uniquely stylish hotel. Donald Sultan, the American contemporary artist, was commissioned to decorate the interior and over 600 of his pieces are on display, with even the room numbers in his own handwriting. The rooms have style and individuality, and all the modern amenities you would expect from a four star hotel. The carpet, fabrics and artwork, all designed by Donald Sultan, create a real feeling of style and space. The rooms in the most modern wing also have unbeatable views of the Danube and chain bridge. Bathrooms feature individually designed brass designs together with bath and power shower. The Chelsea Restaurant acts as a breakfast room in the morning where a varied hot buffet is served. In the evenings the restaurant becomes a stylish and relaxing place in which to taste the extensive choice of Mediterranean dishes on offer, and where even the crockery is individually designed. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is beautifully located on the river just opposite the parliament buildings, in walking distance of the major sites in Budapest. It is on the Buda side of the city which is much nicer than the Pest side in my opinion. The hotel is clean, the rooms are large and well appointed, the breakfast is fantastic and the service excellent.
