K+K Opera is centrally located just off from the busy street of Andrassy (where many of Pest's restaurants are located).
We stayed for four nights are were really pleased to stay there - the room was great and the staff very helpful indeed.

Breakfast is particularly comprehensive here. All-round, I would return and highly recommend this hotel. Excellent.

Expectations met. Great value for money and excellent location. We were given a rather small room looking onto a courtyard which was not ideal for our 4 day stay, but they immediately gave us another room when we asked for it. So, the staff were fine, breakfast good, room good, 3 pcs down in the lobby with fast internet connection. Recommend, and will stay there again probably.

The hotel is in a great location, the staff are pleasant and efficient, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the food was good and the bar well stocked.

Other than breakfast (which is very good, and served in a separate room) bar meals are served in a glorified corridor next to the bar which is too hot and very smokey. I would recommend banning smoking and creating a more comfortable dining area to attract more guests to dine in the hotel. The food is lovely.

Overall I would definitely use the hotel again and recommend it to others.

The hotel has a modern appearance and the staff were very polite, welcoming and helpful. Our bedroom and bathroom were of a high standard. There is a pleasant breakfast room, but this was not used for other meals, which are served in what is the hotel bar. Although this is also comfortable, it is a little odd to have guests on their way to and from their rooms walking through as you having a meal. However, this a minor matter and there are plenty of restaurants in the city.
The hotel is very conveniently sited, very close to the Opera House and the underground system and next door to the Belcanto restaurant, which was giving a 50% sdiscount at lunchtime!

visited Budapest from Dec 17th-21st. Stated at the K&K Opera hotel is in ideal location for all major sights, also plenty of bars and restuarants.Would recommend the big red bus tour you can hop on & off when you like, tickets can be bought from the Intercontinal Hotel(or on the bus) where the tour starts from. Hotel easy to reach from the airport caught the bus outside the airport terminal take's you to the start of the metro-line kobanya-kispest change at Deak Ferenc Ter change from the blue line to the yellow line then its just 2 stops to the Opera, the hotel is 1 street back. Hotel very clean and the staff friendly and always willing to help if you have any queries, breakfast serves till 11 am you could'nt ask for more. Szechery baths are mixed ideal for couples(some of the baths in budapest are'nt) is a must do whilst in Budapest, its a 20 minute walk straight up Andrassy Ut just behind Hero's square. Would recommend Budapest it's a wonderful city.

Was very pleased with this hotel. Though it is not a luxury hotel, the accommodation was comfortable and clean, the breakfasts were very good and the food served in the Bistro restaurant far surpassed expectations. The service was generally excellent, apart from occasional minor but annoying glitches in the breakfast coffee service (they'd save themselves and the guests some aggravation if they just put a thermos of coffee on every table in the morning). The location is perfect for those visiting Budapest for its artistic treasures. The opera house is next door, the operetta, the Liszt centre and the theatre district are all within ten minutes walk and the main art galleries at Heroes Square are easily accessible by underground (five stops), as is Vaci ut (the main shopping street) and the Danube (three stops in the opposite direction). Of course, you miss out on the views of the Danube, but then life is about choices.

Overall, I was happy enough with the hotel. The room (in which we had three adults sleeping) was of a good size, and well furnished, The bathroom had a shower only, no bath; which was a little disappointing, but not a great inconvenience in our two night stay. The location was fine; central enough to be convenient for major sights. The Reception staff were excellent - very friendly and very helpful. The major downside to the hotel was the breakfast area; poorly designed in terms of layout, with staff overworked (and a bit surly as a result); a rethink of the layout or a reduction in capacity is required, to my mind. It was hard to find a table for three, and we were forever squeezing past other tables to get to a crowded central buffet... not the best of dining experiences. Other than that; a decent enough hotel.
