A family run resorts, the hotel is kept in very good condition and rennovated periodically in order to maintain the high standards it has always set. The Hotel Collodi is located in the San Lorenzo district, only a few minutes walk from all of Florence's major attractions such as the Michelangelo's David [Academy Gallery], Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, Old Bridge [Ponte Vecchio] and the Cathedral [Duomo] square.

As of July 2011 Florence is introducing a new city tax to be paid by the guest to the hotel directly prior to their departure.
