This hotel is a good value for the money. It is ideally located, nicely (and not cheaply) designed, relatively quiet, and serves a pretty good breakfast (inclusive). They also offer a complimentary glass or Port wine on arrival. The staff may not seem particularly friendly at first, but you'll come to realize they are professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. At first I was disappointed to be given a room on the fifth floor (#53), since that and the sixth do not boast the large french door windows which feature so prominently in the hotel's facade. However, my room was still much larger than most design hotel rooms, was quiet and comfortable, and featured a nice view of the castle which would not have been visible from the lower floors. Comfortable and stylish lobby, and nice library with books to loan, too. This is, overall, a highly recommendable hotel.
